OUR MISSION

MULTIPLYING GOSPEL COMMUNITIES THAT LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, PUSH BACK DARKNESS

When we talk about the mission of Frontline Church, we are talking about the vision, the goal, the heartbeat behind all that we do as a church. We want to see gospel communities multiplied across Oklahoma and beyond. Gospel communities are people together because of Jesus, with Jesus, under Jesus, and for Jesus.  Gospel communities come in all shapes and sizes, from families, to community groups and hub groups, to congregations and even new churches. The more we see and experience the love of God for us in the gospel, the more we long to love God, love people, and push back darkness in our world.

CHURCH
FOR THE CITY

We are a church that prays for and works for the wellbeing of the city. We want the city to truly flourish for the glory and fame of God. Frontline church is a church for the city. We believe that God has called us to be on the front lines of all that He is doing in Oklahoma and beyond.

OUR STORY

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp, and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

On Easter of 2005, Frontline Church launched with around 50 people gathering together in Josh and Nancy Kouri’s living room. This once-small group has now grown into four congregations planted around central Oklahoma. We are one church with multiple congregations located in Downtown Oklahoma City, Shawnee, South Oklahoma City, and Edmond.

WE BELIEVE

I.

There is only one God, who created all things, and that he has revealed himself to mankind.

II.

The Scriptures, comprised of the 66 canonical books of the Christian Bible, are our ultimate authority. They are God-given, true, and through them we can know and obey God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
Matthew 3:13-17
Romans 5:12-21
Philippians 2:5-11
1 Peter 3:18
1 Corinthians 15:12-34
Ephesians 4:4-16
Revelation 20:11-15
Galatians 2:15-21

III.

One God eternally exists in three persons. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. There is one God.

IV

We, along with all of humanity (Jesus Christ excluded), are sinners by nature and choice.

V.

The deserved penalty for sin is death, both physical and spiritual.

VI.

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God who took on flesh and was born of a virgin, is both fully God and fully human.

VII.

Jesus Christ died as our substitute to pay the penalty for our sin.

VIII.

Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day return.

IX.

Jesus Christ reigns and rules over his Church, which consists of all who have trusted in him for their salvation.

X.

In a future physical resurrection of the dead. Those who trust in Jesus Christ will be raised to an eternal life. Those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal death.

XI.

Only by trusting in the person and work of Jesus Christ alone can we be reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and experience true life and joy.

Our Friends

Frontline is one community of a much larger community of believers. We are proud to stand beside these great leaders, churches, and ministries as we work together to grow Jesus’ beautiful kingdom. There is no way we want to do this alone, so here are a few people we are growing beside.

Vision Nationals

Planting Churches: Since 1992 Vision Nationals has worked with hundreds of church planters to plant more than 500 churches in India. And through an initiative called Ten Thousand Churches they are laying the groundwork to plant 10,000 more.

Training Nationals: They train nationals on two fronts: the urban front through Master’s College of Theology, our fully accredited Seminary; on the rural front we equip pastors using the BILD curriculum for theological training.

Caring for the Most Vulnerable: As we join our King in caring for those who do not have the means to care for themselves, not only is God glorified, but we are aligning ourselves with an agenda that is sustained by the One David described as the “father of the fatherless and protector of widows.”

Acts 29 Network

The Mission of Acts 29 is to band together for the sake of Jesus and the gospel, plant new churches and replant dead and dying churches across the United States and the world. This work is done in obedience to the great commission (Matt. 28:18-20), with the goal of seeing millions of lives changed by the power of the gospel.

Acts 29 believes that the church is God’s primary mission strategy, and so, the means by which Jesus is made more famous as communities of light are scattered throughout the world to dispel the darkness.

City Rescue Mission

City Rescue Mission is a faith-based, private, nonprofit organization providing solution-based ministry to an average of 400 men, women and children each day in Oklahoma City. For more than 50 years, the Mission has saved many lives and had a profound impact on thousands of others by providing compassionate, solution-based services to the homeless community.

Water 4

Water4 exists to transform communities by putting a sustainable solution in the hands of local men and women. They train locals to drill their own water wells and install their own hand pumps. As a result, these trained teams have not only a vocation and a means to provide for themselves and their families, but also the tools and skills to bring access to safe drinking water to their own communities.

Serve Moore

Serve Moore is a collaborative effort of local churches and organizations working for renewal in Central Oklahoma. This non-profit is close to Frontline’s heart as so many of us were involved in Serve Moore’s launch. At that time, the organization was little more than a hashtag on twitter and thousands of people loving the city by responding to May 2013’s tornadoes. Today, Serve Moore continues to mobilize local and global volunteers to renew our communities for the glory of God and the good of Central Oklahoma.
