This year during the OKC Memorial Marathon, on Sunday April 30th, Frontline Downtown will be canceling the 9 am and 11 am services. For the second year in a row, instead of our morning services, we will be serving the city on mission by course marshaling the race.

The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building on April 19th 1995 was one of the most defining moments in the history of Oklahoma City. For 16 years our city has held the Memorial Marathon, not only to remember those who lost their lives that day, but to remember a city in it’s darkest hour pulled together to overcome. We will be coming together as a church to push back darkness in our city.

We would like to ask everyone who attends Frontline Downtown to join us on mission April 30th from 7am to 2pm. We will be coming together as communities to cheer on the runners, as well as, protect them by shutting down intersections.

We have pledged to provide 100 volunteers to course marshal each intersection from Mesta Park to the Finish Line. Let’s show up to really serve our city well and at least meet that need.

The first 120 people to sign up to Course Marshal will receive a For the City shirt that we encourage everyone to wear on race day.
